Penny Flame was born in Aurora, Colorado.  She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and entered the adult industry in 2003. She's a graduate of Campolindo High School in Moraga, California.  For a few years her material was just solo and lesbian in content, which was often produced by Danni Ashe.  She first appeared in hardcore pornographic films in 2005.  Flame's first starring role in a big budget production was that in James Avalon's 2005 feature Darkside alongside Hillary Scott.
